Interested in patterns and the specifics of garment creation, I decided to make giant trousers, drawn from memory, directly onto the fabric. After sewing the different cut pieces together, I hung them up, first in my studio to give them volume, then in a more neutral and much larger space. I then fixed them to the ground, in a walking movement, with cement. Beyond the sculptural approach and the search for forms, I enjoyed creating a garment made for a human but which no being can enter: the interest then lies in playing with scales, irony, and the identity of a pair of trousers. Its function is questioned and becomes a pretext for sculpting. The fabric, which is seized, cracked, and soiled by the cement, oscillates between lightness and heaviness, stability and the ephemeral. As the installation could not remain in the space, I decided to present a video to bear witness to this ephemeral aspect and the relationship we can maintain with our creation.
